Turkey Indonesia Drone Deal: Turkey’s Bayraktar TB3 drone, considered one of the most advanced and lethal killer drones in the world, will now be manufactured in Indonesia. Under a historic defense agreement between Turkey and Indonesia, these state-of-the-art drones will be produced in Indonesia. As part of this deal, Indonesia will acquire 60 Bayraktar TB3 drones and 9 Bayraktar Akıncı UCAVs. This agreement is being seen as a game-changer in the defense industry.

The Bayraktar TB3 drone is an upgraded version of the Bayraktar TB2, which has already been successfully deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh, Syria, and the Ukraine war. It is specifically designed to operate from aircraft carriers with short runways. Additionally, it is equipped with anti-tank missiles, guided rockets, and laser-guided missiles, making it a highly formidable combat drone.

Killer Defense Partnership Between Indonesia and Turkey

Under this agreement, the production, assembly, and maintenance of Bayraktar drones will take place in Indonesia. Turkey’s Baykar Technologies and Indonesia’s defense company Republicorp will collaborate on manufacturing these drones. This partnership will help Indonesia achieve self-reliance in drone production while also giving a significant boost to Turkey’s defense industry.

Turkey is ahead of many countries in drone manufacturing. As of today, Turkey holds a 60% share in the global drone industry. The demand for Bayraktar drones is increasing worldwide, with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives among the key buyers.
