3 October, 2024- New Delhi, October 3 (IANS) — UAV startup Amber Wings has unveiled a new agricultural Drone. It aims to transform farming in India. The Drone offers a faster and more efficient solution for crop management.

An IIT Madras incubator developed the agricultural Drone ‘Vihaa’. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) recently certified it.

The designers created it to revolutionize farming. It will alter how agribusinesses and farmers throughout the nation run their operations. It can spray crops with fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments. It is capable of seven times faster task completion than manual procedures. This helps farmers and businesses save valuable time and resources.

“Introducing ‘Vihaa’ marks a pivotal moment for us. This marks a significant advancement in India’s agriculture techniques. Our mission has always been clear. We aim to provide innovative solutions. “These fixes encourage business expansion and give farmers more leverage,” Prof. Satya Chakravarthy stated.

With ‘Vihaa’, we are offering a lot more than a tool. Our contribution to contemporary farming is a partner. Our goal is to make advanced technology accessible across the country. The expansion of the Drone technology industry is something else we hope to promote. The popular flying taxi startup The ePlane Company has a subsidiary brand called Amber Wings. IIT Madras incubates both of them. Currently, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra are the states where the organization provides spraying services. In the upcoming months, the Drone manufacturer intends to grow even more. Amber Wings is creating further Drone solutions as well as the Vihaa agriDrone. The company designed its ‘Atva’ series of Drones for package delivery. These Drones also support aerial imaging. Logistics and e-commerce enterprises are catered to by them. Amber Wings is prototyping a Drone with a 50-kg payload. This will further expand its capabilities. “We believe that Drone technology has the potential to fundamentally change many different industries. Additionally, it can open up new business opportunities,” Chakravarthy stated. “Our goal is to accelerate Drone usage in India. By providing end-to-end solutions, we achieve this. Additionally, we’re creating a robust ecology”.
